Privacy Policy

Point TV is a media player. We do not provide content; the application only plays streams from M3U/Xtream playlists that the user uploads to their device. The user is responsible for lawfully obtaining the streamed content.

1. Introduction

Point TV ("we", "the application") respects the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Point TV LG webOS application ("the Application") collects, how it is used, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

• Device Information: Your TV's MAC address and a unique Device Key derived from it (for device identification).
• Playlist Information: M3U/Xtream playlist URLs and credentials you upload (stored encrypted on our servers to fetch content).
• Usage Data: Watch history, favorites, settings preferences (language, parental controls PIN).
• Technical Data: IP address, application version, session logs (for service maintenance and troubleshooting).

We do not collect personal identifiers such as email or full name. Registration is not required.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide the service (device identification, playlist synchronization).
• Personalization (favorites, watch history, parental controls).
• Service maintenance, security, and improvement.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

• Stream Providers: The application connects directly to the IPTV/M3U providers you choose. These connections are not routed through us.
• Service Providers: DigitalOcean for hosting (Frankfurt, EU), Brevo for transactional email, Stripe for payments. These providers access only data necessary for service operation.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored on our servers located in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).
• All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS.
• Sensitive information (playlist credentials) is encrypted at rest.

6. Data Retention

• Device and usage data is retained while the device is active.
• Watch history is retained for the last 90 days.
• Data is deleted within 30 days upon your request.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR (EU) and applicable data-protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access your data

• Request deletion

8. Children's Privacy

The application is not specifically directed at children under 13. For families, we provide a Parental Controls feature (PIN-protected category hiding).

9. Local Storage on Device

The application stores information such as language preference, session state and device key in your TV's local storage. This data is removed when you uninstall the application.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the application. The latest version is always available on this page.
